Jay Gamboa who spent last season as the pitching coach at Lesley University has been name the first field manager of the Massachusetts Mallards.

Prior to his coaching career Gamboa pitched on the D1 level for Duke University and was a standout on the D3 level for Skidmore. He also pitched with the Syracuse Salt Cats of the NYCBL.

Gamboa will begin assembling the Mallard roster immediately.
